MEA CARGO TIMETABLE, NOVEMBER 1958
This document is based on the cargo section of the MEA November 1958 timetable, N°12.
MEA started all-cargo flights in 1955 with a Bristol 170 freighter. Photo: MEA
MEA had increased its cargo capacity by introducing freighter planes for all cargo flights since 1955, with the introduction of a Bristol 170. In 1957, 3 Avro York freighters were leased for the consolidation of MEA's cargo network. These will be used until 1960: the arrival of the jet age ended MEA's all cargo flights. The new jets had enough capacity for cargo, and reduced the need for all cargo operations.

MEA's timetable, eff n°12, November 1958 included a cargo section
Westbound flights connected Beirut, Athens, Basle, London, Milan
and Rome.
Eastbound flights connected Beirut, Baghdad, Bahrain, Dhahran,
Doha, Kuwait and Teheran.
