MEA TIMETABLE, MAY 1974.

Document sent by Gregory Buchakjian @ Baron&Baron Website.

MEA's timetable of flights leaving BEY was a feature of the Lebanon Fortnightly tourist publication.

This timetable is that of the airline at the height of its golden age. The network spread to 40 destinations in 3 continents. MEA operated daily flights from Beirut to Abu Dhabi, Amman, Athens, Baghdad, Bahrain, Cairo, Dhahran, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait, London, Nicosia and Paris. Its homogenous Boeing 707/Boeing 720 fleet greatly reduced operating costs. MEA was one of the leading airlines in the Middle East, and truly lived up to its name.

MEA's fleet in 1974 consisted of 3 Boeing 707-3B4Cs and 16 Boeing 720s. Photo: MEA.
